South of the river

Today was my friend P’s birthday and she had a socially distanced afternoon tea party.  Rain tried but failed to stop us. 
As I walked from the station I saw this closed road. Part of the Street Space movement to make more room for cyclists/pedestrians. I mentioned it to P who told me, that local residents are most displeased about it as it has caused a rat run elsewhere. To show their displeasure, someone removed the plants from the planters.........
