Laughing Gym Fungi

Iv'e noticed that this fungi has been particularly prevalent this year on the edges of John Muir Wood. Fortunately the dogs have not been attracted to take a nibble as it turns out that it is poisonous and hallucinogenic. This is presumably where it gets its common name. The Latin name is Gymnopilus Junonius. I may give them a wide berth in the future !!
