Sutton on sea album cover

It was so windy today but the sun was still shining so we returned to the coast - we managed about 30 mins in the sea but the wind was so fierce it blew a stinging sand storm onto the kids and that was that they didn't want to go back in - we tried to shelter in the dunes but that didn't completely eradicate the problem! Wandered down into sutton for a spot of lunch found a small town cafe with some pavement seating outside and we had lunch - that cheered the kids up - then off to look at the beach huts which I enjoyed, kids got a bit bored however when we suggested walking back along the seashore they soon perked up - the wind was just as strong but at the water's edge the sand was wet and compacted so less likely to blow up and sting. Had a great couple of hours making mud spa baths, looking for crabs and jumping in and out of the waves.

Back to branston for showers, fish and chips and then home to the midlands - fell into bed exhausted
