Lunch

Looking out of the kitchen window as I began to prepare lunch, I noticed that it was bath time for a family of sparrows and a hen blackbird. As I clicked the shutter on my i-phone to capture the scene (see extra photo), all the birds scattered. The reason became apparent when I saw in the corner a sparrowhawk enjoying its lunch (main photo.)
Frequent showers today, but not a problem when playing jazz this morning and escaped them this afternoon when was able to get out for a short walk.
