The bloomin' heather

We walked on Ling Fell this afternoon. It is very close to Cockermouth, but we only saw two runners and no walkers...

In the photo you can see the purple heather contrasting with the yellow gorse. In the background you can see the next band of heavy rain that was about to hit us!

Home again now enjoying a nice pot of tea and a piece of chocolate and walnut cake!
