Clearing up

Have finally got around to starting to tidy up the garden from last year, just in time before the growth gets going too much this year. These are the seed heads left from some perennial or another - maybe a type of small lavetera? - they are only the size of my thumbnail, but very beautiful. Took me ages to get a picture that was in focus, and eventually had to use my older Canon to get enough depth of field in close up. But what a small screen on it with terrible contrast! Can't believe I used to think it was good! Thank god for my new compact.
