Mossy magic

Up on the shores of Loch Awe as part of the process of staving off Feb blues. And there is nothing like forest green.

The trees are densely packed - reminds me of a Klimt painting - so little light gets in. Moss creeps in, carpeting the forest floor and stretcging up the tree trunks. And ferns grow on the moss.

As we were out for a walk we came across a magical place in the woods. Low winter light was coming on through the few gaps in the trees and all the while place glowed a fresh shade of green. The moss had also softened up all the hard edges, joining up things which were once separate. Marvellous.

Not sure the magic is coming through and some imagination might be required!
