Birthday expedition

It was G's birthday today and we went on a little expedition over the mountains to a fairly distant secluded beach. The journey is over an hour and very scenic.. this photo is a view on the way. The last part of the journey involves quite a bit of rough dirt track to get there so our beach is almost deserted.
We stopped off on the way at a village women's cooperative shop to get home-made traditional spinach pie and olive bread for our picnic, and on the way back at a cafe in a mountain village for ice cream.
