The Big Day

What a long day! We left early to get to Birmingham in time to pick up a few last minute things oldest would need. There was a car accident on the interstate which delayed us about an hour. Got oldest’s stuff mostly sorted, then a trip to the store and back to the dorm. Such a lovely plan by the university for a time with our student before we left. Normally there would be a large gathering of students and parents. So this was the substitute due to COVID. It was a wonderful time of reading Scripture together and praying with him before we said our goodbyes. And with that... he has left the nest. Praying that he soars on wings as eagles, firmly fixes his eyes on Jesus, and grows into the man God wants him to be.
