Good mix

Woke to wonderful sunshine this morning.. the tide heading out to one of the lowest tides of the year... always fun to see.  The wind started to build at low tide and kept building. We had one of the highest tides of the year with a good swell which put all the beach huts close to danger of being swept away but l don't think there were any casualties on this occasion.  Friends had said they would drop in for a cuppie mid afternoon which we were looking forward to (being a work day was tricky for some) and half an hour before they were due to arrive we heard that my sister in law was also going to make a surprise visit with her husband and two grandchildren at the same time.  Sadly for them the tide was in with huge waves and so they set off to find somewhre they could dig.  Then it poured.. I don't think they stayed long before trundling home.. we had slipped out for a quick walk so they didn't come in for a cuppa afterwards.. sad.  Lovely to have a catch up with our friends though.. can't do everything no matter how you try. 
This evening we attended a wedding on zoom from America.. a cousin got married having had to cancel a previous date due to 'The Great Pause'  So happy for them.. just a small wedding in Chicago of close friends and family... and then all of us in the uk on Zoom.  We felt special to be there.
