At the ferry

Early start to get the rest of the stuff in the car and head over to Port Kennacraig for the ferry over to Islay. With the landslide in the week the Rest and Be Thankful road was still shut so we allowed for more time to go via Tyndrum. Arrived with plenty of time in the end so Kilda could have a little run on the small beach at the port. FM and RD arrived and we packed the rest of their stuff I the car and just managed to shut the boot. They walked on to get a seat outside for Kilda while I took the car. Nice crossing to Islay but it took Kilda a while to settle. Stopped off at Bowmore to get some important whisky supplies in before heading to Port Askaig for the short ferry to Jura. Arrived at Ballard to find the house cleaned and the lawn mown. Settled in before heading to the pub for dinner. Long day but nice to be away.
