Seeing Beyond Looking

Dahlia and Bee

A strange day indeed!  We had such plans of getting up way before sunrise, taking the metro to the station and the train to lakeside Morges in time to see the sunrise!  I know I'm an annoying early bird and got up without any problem just before 5 am and dressed immediately. Jean can't get going in the morning and seems to do everything in slow motion... we left home 30 minutes later than planned, missed the gorgeous period before the sunrise and when we did arrive at the lake, it was already shrouded in a hot weather mist!  Oh well!

The temperature at 7 am was 21C (69.8F) and at 3 pm it had risen to 31C (87.8F) which feels terrible. Down in the plain at lake level, it reached 34C  (93.2F).  I sincerely hope that this is the end of our heatwaves for this year.

The dahlias in Morges were stupendous!  I must have taken thirty odd photos. I've just put up three here. As often, I couldn't choose my main photo as I love them all!

Thanks to Anni/BikerBear for hosting!

I hope that everyone is going towards a really good weekend with something lovely happening.  Sometimes, we have to create that lovely thing ourselves to make it happen. Loveliness doesn't always fall into our laps like a gift from Heaven, it often needs a little nudge and awareness!
