Reeth
On a day of going further but not as far as intended! I enjoyed a pint at the Tan Hill Inn, England's highest pub (1,732ft), which was worth the long wait in the queue to get inside and order. It snaked around the outside the building, fully exposed to a stiff, chilly breeze. I couldn't believe how busy it was.
I think everyone was trying to make the most of a rare beautiful day. And, wow, was it beautiful out in the Dales today. It was hard not to keep rolling along, out of one Dale into another, and another, and another!
