Sophie Rider''s work draws on myth and story to explore... (fill in the blanks). The Lady Hare sculptures are based on herself. This recurring idea is a response to the earlier use of the Minotaur as a theme. Very often the head is clearly depicted as a mask. She says that she doesn't plan each work, but rather they emerge from ideas she has and the physical making process.
With sculptures in the grounds and an exhibition inside the Gallery, there's no excuse to not visit, no matter the weather.
