Glamper Camper
We drove mum home last night - I was supposed to take her in the afternoon but I really didn’t fancy that drive again, so Alan offered to come and share the driving if we waited until he finished work. I was very grateful, and so we left after we’d had dinner and arrived at midnight.
This morning Alan worked from mum’s, I went and did her shopping and then met my friend Audrey at Costa Coffee. We sat outside for about an hour and a half and had a catch up over a hot chocolate and a cup of tea.
We left mum’s at lunch time and drove home, but we had quite an eventful journey. Firstly, we stopped off in Wolverhampton and went to West Midlands trailers to have a look at their glamping pods. Alan’s been fancying one as an addition to Bertie, and we were very impressed. Since lockdown their business has soared and he’s now booked up until February next year, so we need to decide quickly if we want one for next Spring.
We then carried on with our journey South, and heard the news that Portugal has now been added to the travel list. We’d pretty much decided to cancel our holiday to France and hearing this news we decided to book an All Inclusive holiday to the Algarve, and go ahead with the cancellation.
So we leave three weeks today, and are very excited! Obviously there are no guarantees that Portugal will remain accessible, but I don’t think anything will happen in the next few weeks and we’ve booked a TUI holiday who offer Covid guarantees that they will refund or change the holiday if becomes impossible to go there.
