Scattered Polaroids

Bill and Madds picked us up in the morning and we set off for Shropshire.

We stopped on the way at Gloucester services because it’s just such a treat, and then again at an Asda in Telford to buy some booze (and some burger buns to replace the ones that Burly managed to eat this morning!)

Got to the campsite at about 3pm, perfect timing for some bright sunshine to make putting up the tents a very sweaty operation. Gradually more people arrived until the whole crowd of about 20 of us were there.

We played some games, then decamped through the woods to a big covered shelter to cook our food. It’s a ‘forest school’ so there also lots of activities in the woods that we got far too excited about for a group of 30 year olds (the zip line in particular was a big hit). We ate dinner and drank drinks and chatted for hours while the rain pounded on the metal roof. Super cosy.
