Land and water

This photo reminds me of friend, the late Ben Hall, wonderful artist, some of whose works I'm fortunate to own. I came by them through swapping for my pottery, when I was a potter and we all lived in the mountains.

Me: 'I can't take that painting, these are just a few pots.'

Ben: 'I can't take those pots, this is just a water colour.'

Win-win. They were the days. Ben went on to do ever greater things, including public art. His architect background usually came through.
