Rooted From the Same Tree

I had a very synchronous moment this week with a former student of mine, Saiyare Refaei, a terrific writer who is about to publish her first volume of poetry. I thought about how her work was coming along, and 30 seconds later, I had a text from her, asking if I would give her work one final review before going to the publisher. It was such a random (but maybe not!) occurrence. I told her about it, and she said, “We are rooted from the same tree.” I told you she was a poet. I love that quote. So this blip is dedicated to Saiyare and her poetry. May we all be rooted from the same tree.
