Early light

Up at 6 to gather more hazelnuts, watering, stretching out 70 m of water pipe, attaching pump and shifting water from spring collecting pond to tank, then buying sixteen steel stakes to hold up fence I laid yesterday around the ‘spring complex’.

Flow is near 1500 litres a day. That’s more water than we need if we can keep boar out (extra). Tiring two days what with digging out the pond. Rain was pitiful and temps rising back up to 35c.

Strange to think of Storm Ellen closing in on Ireland and the north west. Looks like it’s gonna hang around for a bit. Hang tough you growers.
