6 Nations

Scotland were playing Italy today and I had planned to get to the pub early to get a seat and a bite to eat before the game, of course that didn't happen! When I walked out my flat door I found a parcel under my door mat (in the communal hallway). The posty must have "concealed" it there before I woke up or when I was in the shower. Anyway it's appearance delayed me and by the time I got to Teuchter's Landing the game had started and there were no seats left :-( It wasn't as busy as last weeks game so I did at least manage to get a space standing at the bar.

Surprisingly Scotland won, it's been a while since I've been able to say that, and I ended up staying for the France/Wales and had a couple more beers :-) I noticed they had replaced the Brew Dog Punk IPA with Williams Joker IPA (as well as Peroni for Heineken), the barman said that the Punk was too expensive. In fact I noticed they have raised their prices, most of their tap beers are now £3.80 a pint (Joker is £4 and I believe Heineken is £5!). That is rather pricey even for Edinburgh, especially in Leith! Stupid bl00dy government tax rises!
