Hetty Hedgehog

At least Hetty one of our resident hedgehogs was predictably hungry this evening.

The wind was shimmying through the poplar trees, rain was dancing off the tent roof and the foxes for the third night running were giving me a wide berth. 

Hetty doesn't like the lights and here she is positively galloping towards the safety of the house getting soaked in the process. It never fails to amaze me just how fast those little legs can go. She is a very good weight (hardly surprising with the amount she eats)and her movements remind me of one of those clockwork toys which used to skirt over the floor.
