Echinops

A day in the garden. Managed to finish the grass-cutting which I started yesterday. Cleared a weedy path and started to put down some topsoil in preparation for grass seed. A bit of deadheading and clearing more weeds and I discovered this solitary echinops - almost the only thing not to be eaten by the deer or caterpillars but then I guess it's a bit jaggy.
