Making greengage jam

Picked, washed, simmered and then made into jam. Now the boys know just how much sugar there is in jam.
This is the first time I've made greengage jam. We burned the first lot! Luckily, we had lots and lots of green gages so it wasn't a problem trying again. We made 5 large jars which are currently setting on the kitchen side. We saved a little to try and it is yummy!
