Balsam bashing

This morning I joined a group of folk down at Goit Stock, pulling up the invasive Himalayan balsam and Rose bay willow herb. There were also people there from the Aire Rivers Trust injecting the Japanese Knotweed along the beck.
We did a similar thing in another part of the area two years ago and it certainly reduced the balsam, lhelping the native plants.
Lots of vicious nettles around there though!
