The Little Tug that Could
The weather turned again and the snow returned this morning, during skating I saw one of the Clyde tugs making way down the river so when leaving I headed down to the splash to see what was heading up the river.
The John Rickmers was the ship in question, a cargo vessel arriving from Dublin, the line went aboard the Ayton Cross and she duly turned the cargo ship and pulled her gently backwards into her berth at the Clydeport Container Terminal. Locals will tell you that you know its raining in Greenock when you cannot see the other side of the river, today with the snow you could not see as far as the Captianus!
Again not the Blip I intended for today but the twins like to watch the river traffic and it was a convenient capture.
