Birthday girl

Hubby took the day off today as it is our daughters birthday and we had arranged a trip out to Bird World (son-in-law took the day off to, for a family trip out). :)

Pre booked the tickets, again the only thing we couldn’t control was the weather. Dropped the dogs off at my sisters, arrived about 10:30am. Parrots, penguins, toucans, owls, Mina birds, etc. Hubby and I had taken Caleb here about 18 months ago, he had remembered the toucan .... but not much else. For Austin, it was one of the first trips out in his 5 months that he’s been out for the day - he loves looking at everything, distracted by noise (not helpful when our ). Some events limited or not taking place (ie feeding of penguins, bird show) due to limiting groups together and ensuring social distancing.

Found a picnic bench for lunch, just finished when the heavens opened, Thankfully it was short lived and we were able to sing happy birthday and candles blown out (adapted cake, milk-free cakes (brownies) with a milk free jam tart on top). After a trip to the small farm, the dinosaur trail, penguin enclosure we found the ice cream kiosk :)

Leaving around 3pm, made our way back home (collecting dogs on the way). Take away Italian for tea - then left our daughter and son-in-law putting the boys to bed. :)

Hubby and I once back home, snoozed in the evening - we must have been worn out! :)
