St Fergus Kirkyard

Another watch House this one in the haar at lonely St Fergus Kirkyard which has wondrously carved gravestones dating from the 1700s by which time the kirk was long abandoned and had been described as being ' ovircassin with sand... in ane wilderness o-er blawn wi sand' '. This was said to have been caused by St Fergus to indicate his displeasure at the liturgical changes which came about at the Reformation.
