The joyous smell and sound of a new shoe.

Big horse inconveniently lost a back shoe on Friday and has been going about like a Corsa with a flat. This was to my intense dismay as after over 5 months of lockdown, small boy is back to school which means the wonderful freedom of autum tinged hours spent exploring new tracks was upon us. Farriers are fickle beasts and hard to track down but after much pleading, one finally came to shut me up this morning. A long adventure followed, during which big horse and I were accompanied by a short eared owl!
