Some signs of life

Here in East Yorkshire, and probably everywhere else too, we have 100's of acres of arable land which is still uncultivated after last summer's harvest due to the land being completely water logged.
This picture (hopefully) illustrates the problem in one field - in the foreground we have waterlogged ground with stubble from last year, in the middle of the field an area where either it wasn't drilled or the seed hasn't germinated and then further back finally some growing winter cereal.
