Has it come to THIS??

There may be heaps that I don't know about coffee and how to get a satisfying coffee experience at home but I DO know what I want when I sit down to order a coffee at one of our favourite cafes. Let me tell you ... Starbucks has never been it. Most of its sugary, lolly flavoured, whip cream smothered concoctions don't bear thinking about.

BUT ... Starbucks branded coffee has begun to invade appear upon the supermarket shelves and the aroma (don't tell anyone I said this) from the little valve on the pack is actually very nice. We have just been evaluating a boutique single source style Arabica dark roast which we like very much. Next one up is this medium roast with the unfortunate name. We'll see.

We have trialled all of our brewing methodologies and are now actually tasting coffees - as opposed to grind coarseness, brew temperatures and timings, recipes etc  Wednesday we visit the Nespresso boutique to actually taste some samples and look at machines/pod varieties. I don't want to finish the process without having at least TRIED that alternative. Am finally getting tired of the research, the experiments and the tastings. Firm decisions soon. I know ... I said that before but this time .....
