Surprise visitor

I surprised this little juvenile Eastern Mole on the patio this morning. His bigger and longer more mature mole friends scuttle along much more rapidly.  I was able to run inside and get my camera for his portrait before he slipped in between the rocks.


For the Record,
This day came in with a fine mist, but finally cleared, the sun came out and the humidity dropped a bit. Merry was so happy that the ACs were not blasting as they have been for the last hatefully hot weeks.
