Cotton Candy in the Sky

Today was the promise of rain. It was also the promise of a sunset, but all we saw were these clouds blushing.

Moments ago I wrote the story of today, and then in one key stroke lost the entire message just before tapping "publish."

Maybe later I'll try to rewrite it, but not now.

P.S. The Army Corps of Engineers arrived in the meadowland behind our house early this morning to clear the fire "fuel" that's been growing there for the past dozen years. The fire this past September was a little too close for comfort. So my lost story was all about the chainsaw and grinders. Quite a day!
