Victorian Drinking Fountain
A warm and humid start to the day but it wasn't long before the sun came out and the air cleared. This prompted Mr MD and I to pay a visit Queen's Park in Burnley, a park we haven't visited for some time. Opened in 1893, this was Burnley’s first public park.
This stone drinking fountain (listed grade II) Jacobean-Renaissance style commemorates the opening of the park by Sir John Thursby.
