Just walkng in the rain ....

What a washout of a day with a lot of heavy downpours!

It did appear to brighten up slightly mid afternoon ...... so we decided to risk it & go for a walk ...... not such a bright idea!

We got a few hundred yards up the road when it began drizzling! As we were already out we decided to carry on as it was only a light sprinkle!

A little further on the skies opened & it poured! We did our best to shelter behind a large hedge .... but still got rather damp!

It then stopped again so we decided to carry on a bit further ....... we had just walked past the wood when we heard a loud rumble of thunder in the distance! We decided it would probably be a good idea to turn round & head home.

Yes .... you've guessed it ..... it poured again on the way home ...... we gave up trying to shelter & just staggered home arriving looking like drowned rats!

I think in retrospect we would have been better not to bother! My trainers are still soaking wet now (Monday afternoon)!

Luckily I had nipped out earlier in the day .... between downpours ..... & took this .... my camera never even came out of the bag during our walk! I like the large droplets & the different colour flowers ..... all on the same plant!
