Sizergh Castle

I booked tickets for us to visit Sizergh Castle today.  It's local to us and we visit fairly regularly.  It had been raining which had the advantage of bringing the colours out and giving rain drops on many of the petals.  The gardens were looking amazing and I was spoilt for choice.

Today marks the day in 1974 when I first came to the Lake District on a sea range/scout holiday.  My love affair with this beautiful place continues to this day.
