Growing Up
My youngest turned 16 this week. She is growing into a beautiful young lady - loves life and is full of joy in a quiet, intentional way. She is an old soul in many ways - reads real books, photographs with a camera and writes letters and notes.
She planned an outdoor “tea party” with her close friends. They played games she made up, chatted about summer and the upcoming school year and dealing with the current state of being 16 during a pandemic.
You never know what you’re In for when her creativity sparks - but moving couches outside and doing a party “safely” - was no surprise. Kids are resilient- they take the “social distant” protocols- adapt and move forward.
We can learn from our youth - they are young but growing up — beautifully.
