Custom made
A while ago, MrM was so irritated that our walks from home were often on the very edge of a map or, even worse, over two maps, that he ordered a custom-made map from Ordnance Survey with 'us' near the middle. Problem solved! He's been using it recently to plot his cycle rides - my map measure may be ancient, but it does the job!
Today passed in a flash. Started off by giving MrM a hair cut. The prospect still makes me nervous, but the end result was fine and he was pleased with it (and he still has two ears, despite the fact that they ignored my pleas to 'keep still'!). Then a wander round the farmers' market, where I bought a birthday gift for a friend, and managed to walk past the stalls selling cakes. After that, it was mostly back to work on the bathroom curtains, before cooking a vegetarian roast dinner.
Good to speak with Lucy on the phone late this evening. The logistics of moving to new accommodation during a pandemic are not easy, to say the least...
