Makara Bay

We have never been here but it is only 18 km from the centre of the city and a truly wonderful drive in totally rural country to get there. 
Its a wonderful spot and The Boss staggered (literally) 21 floors to get the pana in extras which runs from North to South from what was our "snack Spot" Puff puff.....
On the hills you can see a bit of the "West Wind" wind farm which is a major part of NZ renewable energy source with 62 turbines producing 143 Mw of power....Not today however.as it was wonderfully windless.
We will surely return here  with The Bossess.
