Double-Crested Cormorant in Breeding Plumage
From a distance cormorants don't exactly dazzle,
You have to get close to see those:
Bright turquoise eyes.
That slender hook-tipped bill and,
Ooh, lah-lah-
The white double crest he wears to attract a mate.
They feed on fish,
Diving from the sky and,
Using those big ole webbed feet to pursue their prey under water.
Such a fascinating, prehistoric bird.
