Controversial
A lazy blip today as I'm really struggling for time.
Why the controversy? Well the area being developed is called Buchanan Wharf. But the Buchanan place name in Glasgow has become unpopuilar due to his links to slavery. However the developer states that its not in fact named after Buchanan the plantation owner, but William Buchanan a Glasgow Steamboat captain.
However one of the main buildings will be a new European HQ for Barclays Bank, and they aren't taking any chances on the name as they will be calling it the Barclays Glasgow Campus.
