Delicate Aftermath

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

So after last night’s merriment (excess), I felt awful. I mean really awful today. The plan to go for a morning cycle was binned by both Kitty Cat and me on account of the spirit being destroyed and the flesh being incapable.

It took me until about 4 pm to come right which was lucky as we had been invited to Jenk and Sooj’s for a get together in their garden.

Jenk and Sooj are part of a group of 13 people who are setting off on Monday to cycle from John O’Groats to Lands End. They are doing it in memory of Jenk’s brother-in-law and his cousin (who both died of cancer in their forties) and to raise money for three charities.

The Prince is going to join them for one of the legs (Lanark to Carlisle) on Friday and the get together was so all the riders (most of whom were travelling up from parts of England) could meet each other.

It was a lovely night. What they’re doing is so special. Most of the riders and support are family and one of the group fb posts was “Traumatic death tears some families apart but we are working hard to make sure it brings us together.”
