Signs of Autumn

Beautiful dappled skies this morning on my early morning walk, The humidity was high later in the day and the sky is changing in ready of the storms to come.

I passed by this golden squash growing on a trellis and thought how pretty it looked against the sky.

It seems to be fashionable in Switzerland to have allottments to grow fruit and vegetables. I saw this squash right near my home.

I'm not into growing vegetables at all - to much bending down and watering and getting rid of garden pests. I'd rather go walking in nature, read or crochet with my time!  I'm happy enough with my strawberries and different herbs which I harvest for the winter months.
