Tanking It At The Sweet Hut, Minster
Another micro trip to the Isle of Sheppey this morning before doing the weekly food shop. This time we decided to visit Minster, just along the coast from Sheerness. Again, the beach and esplanade were almost totally devoid of any litter and detritus, and it was so lovely to feel a sea breeze, rather than the all enveloping humidity, at the moment, where we live. There were quite a few jet skiers plying their way across the gentle waves but the noise wasn't too bad and they did seem to be enjoying themselves.
Today's main image is only something you would see at the British seaside - a man in Heath-Robinson homemade tank trundling along the esplanade while trying to raise money for the local air ambulance, blasting out "I do like to be beside the seaside" as he passed by!
The second image, "Esplanade Wonderland", features a display by Richard Jeferies and Ali Devine of Squarecube Artisans - I think Alice would have been very proud of their efforts.
The last extra, "Leave Nothing But Your Footprints", was taken on the way back to the car - I love the wistful look of the dog and it's owner and the sentiment of the artwork.
