Sea urchins

These are part of my sea urchin collection from local beaches., which I was giving a dust today. They're pretty to see like this but nasty if you stand on one with all its spines on in the sea..
Today I had a domestic morning doing a bit of cleaning and washed some of the winter rugs, so felt very virtuous. I left my swim for the late afternoon and realised this was a mistake, as the sea was disappointingly full of plastic rubbish and dozens of jellyfish - the brown sort that don't sting but nevertheless rather mar the pleasure of swimming.
