Alstroemeria

At the shows last summer we met the folk who run PIne Tree Nurseries in the Eden Valley.   A tiny family run nursery tucked away near Glassonby on the "East Fellside".    They had a good display of dwarf conifers but told us they had a new delivery due.  So we popped out one day and they were right, what a selection.   We came away with a dozen or so for a development at the Lodge.

What had all that to do with the blip you are thinking.  Well I'll tell you.  Alstroemeria have always been a favourite of CC's for cut flowers.   While at the nursery we discovered some of them are hardy and this one appealed.  Now it is flowering for the first time (well first time in our ownership).
