When Gardens were Important

This little fellow, one of a pair, is all that now remains of a grand Victorian house and garden. 

The house has long gone, given way to a office block; the garden has been truncated and now also forms part of another development.

But the care that went into building a smart garden wall continues to be obvious to those that can see, some 100 years after it was erected.
