Wise Words

There's nothing I can add to the words on this homemade sign in a nearby window. In my view people don't pipe down nearly often enough.

Awake early and a few domestic tasks accomplished such as washing on the line, bed linen changed and so on. Out for a stroll. The farmer is ploughing one of the fields for the winter crop. I've a regular coffee date with two of my longest serving friends on a Saturday morning so I'm gearing up for that. No plans for the remainder of the day.

The veg box was heavy on chard this week so I'm going to make Hugh F-W's chard, mushroom and chickpea curry for tonight. The fruit box contained a pineapple (doesn't feel very local) so that'll do nicely after curry I think. There are loads of windfall apples to deal with. And Flora to walk again. I'm not going to be stuck for things to do.
