Reunion!!

It is 50yrs this month that our set entered nurse training, so today nine of us met up for a reunion. Many of the group hadn't seen one another for at least 45yrs so many changes were expected and seen!!!

Of the 9 present only 5 continued with a nursing career after qualification. There were four other members of the set, one couldn't attend as she is on holiday, the locations of the other three are unknown.

We met up at the old hospital which is now the University City campus. D and I arrived at the student café early and had the pleasure of welcoming our old friends as they arrived. It was interesting to note that even though appearances changed voices don't. When sitting listening to everyone at lunch I could "see" them as naïve school leavers starting their working lives and remember some of the happy and sad experiences we shared.

This picture was taken at lunch by me. There was another one with me on, but someone had their eyes closed, so a bit of "doctoring" with Photoshop will be attempted before it is distributed.

After lunch we went back to the Uni to see the old chapel, board room and Infirmary Museum.

Everyone agrees that we will meet up again soon!!!!
