Sleeping babies
One day I probably won't call them babies, and they get rather annoyed at being called babies now, but I think they will always be my babies.
They chose to go to sleep in our bed this evening (must have sensed the clean sheets!) The youngest had a 2 hour nap at lunch time after a trip to the market, the husband joined him and the eldest enjoyed too much TV. I roused them all about 3.30 and reminded the husband (who is on holiday this week, hence 'in charge), that the youngest hadn't yet had any lunch... Amazingly, the youngest went to sleep very well, or probably not amazingly as he has become so tired this week he needed a good old catch-up on the sleep.
Hair cut tomorrow - the first since early February, I think that's the longest I've ever left it. I can't wait.
Today I'm grateful for:
Calling it a day for work just before 4pm and getting out for a run (even if most of it was spent on the phone, so wasn't such a good run...)
Putting my new slow cooker to the test (I've reached middle age I think!)
Family TV time on the sofa after dinner, I might have also had a snooze whilst cuddling a child
