Woodpeckers

We were invited to one of the former Dieulefit grand houses which is now a “shabby chic” run down family holiday home. The shutters are all damaged by woodpeckers who shelter between them and the windows.
The grounds must have been magnificent with a view over all the village, mostly now hidden by overgrown trees. It is still a quiet heaven where children must love spending summer holidays.
